Guitar Center Boy :D edited by ~sorceress-Ayi:iconsorceress-Ayi:

Guitar Center Boy

Chorus/intro

Guitar Center Boy, can I help you today?
Any new  pedals or amps to play?
Is there sheet music to review?
Will my fender stratocaster and little amp do?

Verse 1:

Black Hair, Blue eyes
Good playing, kinda shy
Dresses like an emo kid
Is an idol in disguise
Oh How I wish I knew you,
But nine years apart ain’t gonna do!

Guitar Center Boy, can I help you today?
Any new pedals or amps to play?
Is there sheet music to review?
Will my Squier stratocaster and little amp do?

Verse 2:

Every Monday night,
Guitar lessons, he’s a sight!
I don’t want to stalk him,
My chance is very slim
You just got a record deal
Will you be poser or will you be real?

Guitar Center Boy, can I help you today?
Any new pedals or amps to play?
Is there sheet music to review?
Will my Squier stratocaster and little amp do?

Will you remember me?
But I'm just a freak
So I guess I can see!

Guitar Center Boy, can I help you today?
Any new pedals or amps to play?
Is there sheet music to review?
Will my Squier stratocaster and little amp do?

Kelly the boy, goodbye
Kelly the boy, goodbye
Kelly the boy, goodbye
Kelly the boy, goodbye

Goodbye…

I wrote this song about Kelly, a young man that works at the guitar center where I live. Just recently, he got a record deal with his band, Debris. And apparently, I "loved" him enough to write a song about him. Yes, I do lack a social life...sort of.

Also, you might have noticed I changed the lyrics. I found the band's page and listened to their music. Seeing how god-damn cheezy this song was, I edited the lyrics to be more appropriate for the genre their in (Metal). And I found his page. Excuse me, I'm going to have a hormonal rage right now... and his band's name is Debris and he is known as Gl1tch. I was quite happy to find that.

My teacher, Marty, and I have been working on the Guitar parts for the song. Currently, It's a good song if you like Pop-ish rock (It's all power chords =D). Also, I finished both the song and the guitar parts. Sadly, I don't have a friend that is a drummer or a bassist. But I'm a vocalist so yay for me. = D

Song © to Me,

EDIT: Well fuck...I should have added this a long time ago. He's 21. And from what pictures I've seen, he appears to be funny as fuck when drunk.

Cool! I think a bit of cheese is appropriate for this sort of song, and there isn't too much here. I myself can't write a non-cheesy love song, unless it's got outer space and the end of the world in it as well (I'm not kidding — see Leap of Faith).

It's all rather confusing, really.

Yeah. The guy in the song actually read it by accident. Fortunately laughing insued.

Brilliant.

And his boss read this too. Fortunately she laughed it off. Atleast I think she did.

Call me lame but I hang out at the local guitar center where I live.

Um, lame? It's fantastic. I wish I could play guitar. I'm very slowly teaching myself. Still, my piano and synthesiser is love.

I can play fairly well. I try not to play boring, generic riffs such as smoke on the water, sweet child o mine, or any shred. I play obscure tracts from albums I like.

Kewl. Smoke on the water is a cool song but it's been done to death and it's become a cliché.

Have you listened to Comfortably Dumb and Leap of Faith yet?

I will, but I'm also quite busy. Even if america has the easiest education system, I'm still a bit surprised about having finals in middle school.
